On an upper floor, residents with five children were trapped because of the smoke. A total of 8 people were evacuated. Both the adults and the young children suffered mild smoke inhalation.
– “We were sitting at the bus stop when suddenly I saw smoke,” says the “ii” woman who witnessed the fire. “A friend and I ran up to the window. We were told that five people lived there. I went inside. Indeed, there was a fire and it was smoky, but no one inside responded. The smoke was so thick that we went outside.”
6 people were taken to hospital.
Five fire service units, the police and an ambulance service were at the scene.
