Maleńczuk is an exceptionally colorful figure on the Polish rock scene and beyond. In 1981, he refused to perform military service, for which he was sentenced to two years in prison. For seven years, he made a living by playing on the streets. He co-founded the group Püdelsi, which he left in 2005. He is the founder and frontman of the rock band Homo Twist, with which he still performs today.
He is considered one of the best Polish lyricists. In 2003, the satirical political poem "Chamstwo w państwie" by Maleńczuk was published by Wydawnictwo Literackie and was very well received by critics. The bard is also a columnist for the Wirtualna Polska portal. He appears in theater productions and films, including "Małżowina" by Wojciech Smarzowski. The album featuring music from the production "Cantigas de Santa Maria," in which he participated, achieved gold status and won a Fryderyk in the category of Album of the Year – Poetry Song.
He is an exceptionally prolific and versatile artist. He experimented with electronics on the album "Ande la more." Recently, he also participated in recording an album by the Yugopolis project, a continuation of the popular Yugoton. Alongside Maleńczuk, the record features, among others, Paweł Kukiz, Muniek Staszczyk and Marek Piekarczyk of TSA. His album recorded in collaboration with Wojciech Waglewski, guitarist and vocalist of the band Voo Voo, is due to be released soon. The album "Koledzy" is to feature songs by such classic artists as Johnny Cash and Stanisław Grzesiuk, as well as original songs by both guitarists.
In 1998, he released the album "Pan Maleńczuk," on which he performed his songs accompanied only by an acoustic guitar. We will hear songs mainly from this album at the concert in Bolesławiec.
Advance tickets cost PLN 25 and can be purchased at the Bolesławiec Cultural Center. On the day of the concert, tickets will cost PLN 30.
