Firefighters urge caution while in the forest. The undergrowth currently has very low humidity, and even a cigarette butt or a lit match can cause a fire. A fire started in the forest can reach significant intensity. The speed at which a fire spreads can reach as much as several dozen kilometres per hour. Escape from the flames is then impossible.
