In her first competition of the season, on 1 May in Bojanowo, Dominika Kwaszcz qualified for the U18 European Championships, which will be held from 14 to 17 July 2016 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The result of 6.17 is just 3 cm short of the qualifying standard for the IAAF U20 World Championships. What is more, it is currently the second-best result in the world in the cadet category. The result achieved in Bojanowo is also a new record for Lower Silesia and for MKS Bolesłavia Bolesławiec.
