On April 18, 2016, shortly after 5:30 p.m., firefighters from JRG Bolesławiec and OSP Różyniec were called to an accident involving two trucks.
The accident occurred near kilometre 54 of the A4 motorway. Upon arriving at the scene, the firefighters found that two trucks had collided, and the extensive damage to one of them indicated that someone might have been seriously injured. It turned out, however, that only one of the drivers had sustained minor injuries. The firefighters provided him with assistance. The scene was secured and the fuel leak was stopped. The remaining fuel was pumped out of the damaged tank. Together with the motorway road service, the accident debris was removed from the roadway.
