Last Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., police officers from six units conducted intensified operations on the roads of Bolesławiec County. Twenty-six police officers monitored road safety.
A total of 196 vehicles were inspected. Officers issued 147 fines, including 88 for exceeding the speed limit. Eleven registration certificates were retained due to the technical condition of the vehicles. In addition, 151 drivers were tested for sobriety. Three driving licences were seized, one for exceeding the speed limit by more than 50 km/h. In four cases, the matter will be decided by a court.
On Saturday, 16 April, from 5:00 to 9:00 a.m., officers from Bolesławiec continued the Safe County operation. They checked the sobriety of 573 drivers; four of them were driving under the influence. In addition, police officers detained a driver who had violated a court-ordered driving ban.
