The incident occurred around midday in Norweski Park. Several hours later, police officers identified and arrested the perpetrator—33-year-old Jelenia Góra resident Grzegorz S.
On 8 April, on the basis of the evidence gathered, including information about his previous convictions, the prosecutor presented Grzegorz S. with charges. The suspect refused to give explanations.
Immediately after the interrogation was completed, the district prosecutor submitted a request to the local District Court for Grzegorz S. to be remanded in custody for three months.
The District Court in Jelenia Góra fully agreed with the prosecutor’s position. The court’s decision is not final. S. faces a sentence of no less than five years in prison.
