According to forecasts from the Institute of Meteorology, snowstorms will rage in the Sudetes and the Sudetes Foothills from today through Wednesday. Snow cover in the lower mountain areas is expected to increase by 20 cm, and in the highest areas—even by half a metre!
Across Lower Silesia, heavy rain and sleet are expected from tomorrow, while heavy snowfall may occur on the night of 20–21 March. Weather conditions over the next two days may cause travel difficulties and make many roads impassable.
The situation is being continuously monitored by the Crisis Management Centre of the Lower Silesian Voivode.
