At the Dolnośląskie Centrum Prawne (DCP), legal problems are resolved in a friendly, respectful atmosphere. Marcin Zatwarnicki offers his clients broadly understood assistance both in obtaining the compensation they are entitled to and, among other things, in the servicing and enforcement of receivables. His goal—and, at the same time, his dream—was for the Centre to become a place where everyone could find the support they needed.

How do you assess more than two years of activity at the Dolnośląskie Centrum Prawne? What have your experiences been?

I think this is an excellent time for a kind of summary. First and foremost, I have not regretted for a moment that I decided to establish the Centre. Over these years, I have met many wonderful people. Thanks to our efforts, we have managed to help them. We have established cooperation with many people and entities. As a result, we have been able to develop a service through which we provide customer service at the highest level—because that is what a legal service should be called. Customer service and its high standard are particularly important to me. Fortunately, the days when the legal services market treated clients like petitioners are long gone. Clients have their own expectations, and that makes me very happy. I am even more satisfied when we manage to meet those expectations.

How has the Centre changed over these years?

We are constantly developing. As I have already said, the number-one priority is the standard of customer service. That is why Client Care Representatives operate within the Centre, providing assistance and support. I am also pleased to say that recently we have begun cooperating with two large, well-known entities in their respective fields. One of them is the Centrum Niezależnego Orzecznictwa i Usług Medycznych from Gdańsk. Specialist doctors will assess the health of our clients. This will give us the opportunity to pursue our clients’ interests fully and substantively, from both legal and medical perspectives, before insurance companies and courts.

In addition, we cooperate with automotive and property appraisers, as well as with a company that actively supports us in developing an offering for professional drivers whose employers refuse to pay the wages and benefits due to them, including per diems for business trips and accommodation.

Is respect for another person still the “fuel” that drives your actions?

Of course! Nothing has changed here. Throughout my professional and private life, I have followed this principle: other people should be respected. That is why a client’s goals, but also their worries, become my goals and problems. I will do everything in my power to help people realise their plans or deal with their worries. The Centre focuses on a friendly atmosphere and listening to the concerns of each individual, which is why I invite people for coffee and listen to what they come to share with me.

So far, we have heard only good things. Are there any negatives worth mentioning?

Unfortunately. Over the past few years, I have seen how the compensation market operates and what pathologies accompany it. This is not only a problem affecting Bolesławiec itself; I think it is more widespread. On the one hand, there are large compensation companies where a client is merely another case to be processed; on the other, there are supposed professionals because of whom an injured person fails to obtain the money they are entitled to due to a basic error by their representative.

This surprises me, because it seems obvious to me that anyone involved in legal advice must have at least a minimum level of knowledge. After all, a client’s life is often in our hands. That is why I personally feel uneasy when I encounter a company that prominently declares its honesty, as though this were something to boast about in this market. Shouldn’t it be obvious that anyone who wants to help people must be honest with them? Isn’t that what respect means?

And finally?

Finally, I invite you to an open discussion on the forum. Thank you in advance for every post, and I promise that I will try to respond to every comment and enquiry.
