The ceremony began with Holy Mass at the Church of St. Stanislaus the Bishop in Czerna, presided over by Bishop of the Diocese of Banja Luka, Rev. Dr. Franjo Komarica. After the service, all the residents of Czerna and invited guests gathered in the churchyard, where a plaque commemorating the first Poles to arrive in these lands was unveiled and blessed. At the end of the ceremony, accompanied by the orchestra’s drumbeats, delegations laid bouquets of flowers.
The ceremony was attended by residents of Czerna, representatives of the local authorities of Bolesławiec, Nowogrodziec and the Bosnian municipality of Srbac, as well as ceremonial-color guards of uniformed services, schools and other organizations.
