Acho Weyer, director of the International Festival of Theatre Without Borders (FITSAF) from Côte d’Ivoire, showed such great interest in Lumex’s products that he decided to visit Bolesławiec in person to learn more about, among other things, the construction of stages, mobile platforms, stage risers, and lighting and sound systems—in other words, the areas in which Lumex has specialized since the 1990s and in which it has established a strong position in the industry. The business reconnaissance was also an excellent opportunity to present the city, along with its traditions and culture.
Waldemar Pióro, co-owner of Lumex, prepared an interesting programme for his business partners’ stay in Bolesławiec. At the special request of the guests from Côte d’Ivoire, the programme also included a visit to Bolesławiec Town Hall and a meeting with the city authorities.
The guests from Côte d’Ivoire were hosted by Deputy Mayor Kornel Filipowicz. During a discussion of Bolesławiec’s cultural activities and offerings, Acho Weyer declared his willingness to host a group from Bolesławiec on the stage of the International Festival of Theatre Without Borders.
