The 38-year-old was walking from the center of Jelenia Góra toward Wojska Polskiego Street. On Sudecka Street, he decided to demonstratively relieve himself. After doing so, he entered the road and stopped approaching cars. He then knelt on the road and tried to fasten his trouser belt. After a while, when he had regained his strength, he got up and continued on his way with an unsteady gait.
A municipal guard patrol was informed of the incident and apprehended the man at the intersection of Wojska Polskiego and Sudecka streets. The conversation indicated that the 38-year-old had been drinking alcohol and had probably taken designer drugs. He told the officers that he did not need any help and would get home by himself, as he was only a few dozen meters away. However, he could not explain why he had been stopping cars.
The officers explained to the man that, apart from being an offense, such behavior posed a danger to him and other road users. The 38-year-old apologized and thanked the officers, then went home.
