Another edition of the Competition for Traditional Easter Dishes and the Most Beautiful Easter Arrangements was held on Saturday, 12 March, in Bożejowice. The dishes were assessed by a competition committee comprising Grażyna Wężyk, Mariola Korczowska, and Zdzisława and Ryszard Miziniak. First place went to the Women’s Rural Housewives’ Association from Kraśnik Górny, which defeated KGW Łaziska and KGW Kraśnik Dolny.
All participants received certificates and ceramic gifts from the voivodeship marshal. The winners, meanwhile, received new equipment for their kitchens.
Easter palms were also awarded. Those from Kraśnik Dolny, Bożejowice-Rakowice, Jurków, Szczytnica, and Łaziska were recognized as the most beautiful. Silver went to entries from Iwiny, Czerna, Nowe Jaroszowice, Wykroty, and Ocice, while bronze went to representatives from Tomaszów Bolesławiecki, Ławszowa, Zebrzydowa, Kraśnik Górny, Żeliszów, and Suszki.
Special thanks went to the hosts, the Women’s Rural Housewives’ Association from Żeliszów, which prepared this year’s edition of the Competition.
