The advertising slogan did not cause the idea’s proponents any problems. After all, our city has always been associated with ceramics. The blue frames first appeared on the license plates of three official cars belonging to the City Hall. They attracted considerable interest among Bolesławiec residents. The officials decided to capitalize on the momentum. Soon, everyone registering their car will receive just such a frame. Its cost is estimated at around PLN 2. By comparison, we would pay between PLN 5 and PLN 10 for a frame purchased in a shop or online. The city authorities are still considering how the frames will be distributed.
Will the new advertisement prove effective? According to data from the Starosty’s Office, 30,000 cars are registered throughout Bolesławiec County. We live in an age of globalization. We are constantly moving from place to place and travelling. Perhaps, thanks to the inscription beneath our license plate, someone from the other end of Poland will encounter the name of our city for the first time. And perhaps they will want to visit it. It will certainly be a relatively inexpensive way to demonstrate local patriotism.
