The incident occurred on 25 February this year, at approximately 2:20 p.m. Officers from the Traffic Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra went to Dziwszów, where a collision had occurred.
They determined that the 54-year-old driver of a Ford Focus lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with an Opel driven by a 22-year-old woman. During the proceedings, it turned out that the man was drunk. The test showed 2 per mille. Police officers also determined that the man was subject to a driving ban, which was in force until 13 January... 2017.
The 54-year-old was detained in police custody. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
