The incident occurred on Wednesday (17 February) on the road between Łaziska and Warta Bolesławiecka. A bus and a passenger Seat were involved in the collision. According to police findings, the 55-year-old Seat driver tried to avoid another passenger car parked on the roadside. She lost control of the vehicle and collided with an oncoming bus.
After the collision, both the Seat and the bus left the road and ended up in ditches. The Seat driver was taken to hospital. Firefighters from Bolesławiec and Warta Bolesławiecka were at the scene. Police are investigating the details of the incident. The road was closed. Drivers used a detour through Wartowice.
The passenger car parked on the roadside may have obstructed traffic, which in turn may have contributed to the collision between the bus and the Seat. Police have already established the owner of the car left on the roadside. The case will be decided in court.
Wednesday’s winter attack made life considerably more difficult for drivers. From Wednesday to Thursday, Bolesławiec police recorded as many as 13 road incidents. We appeal for caution and for adjusting speed to the conditions on the roads.
