Officers from the Traffic Division of the Legnica police were conducting inspections of trucks transporting goods on international routes. During an inspection of a Volvo truck, a police officer noticed that the tachograph was not operating properly. The driver was instructed to pull into a parking area, where the device was thoroughly checked.
It turned out that a device falsifying the tachograph’s operation had been connected to the truck’s electrical wiring. The driver was detained, and the vehicle was secured in the police parking lot.
The detainee was placed in police custody. He is a 31-year-old resident of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. He faces up to two years in prison.
