Inspectors from Bolesławiec carried out a series of interventions during the frosts concerning improper conditions for animals, especially dogs. On the fan page of the Association of Civic Initiatives we see a female dog with a puppy. The animals are being starved and are freezing on short chains. The inspectors were the ones who brought them warm food. Because of improper care and the owner's inability to improve their conditions, the dogs were taken to a friendly boarding facility, where they are awaiting adoption.
The women write that animals are still kept in such cruel conditions in the villages.
“In the first village, the second, the third—wherever you go, it is always the same. We can no longer bear to look at these ubiquitous chains! And supposedly the Middle Ages ended several hundred years ago...”
The female dog is already several years old, perhaps six or seven. Her condition can be seen in the attached photographs. The puppy is like any puppy: happy and mischievous. Ideally, they would find a home together. Contact: 694 768 949.

The association is calling for a change in Polish law:
“We are also at our wits' end over all this. Poland needs a change in the law and, above all, the involvement of animal-protection organizations in educational campaigns for residents, especially in rural areas, as well as the promotion of sterilization to reduce the population of unwanted animals.”
