Comment by County Governor Dariusz Kwaśniewski following the meeting:
I hope that, from today onwards, no one will spread the untruth that a decision has been made to close any secondary school. No such decision was made. And it turned out that there would not be one. All the options in which we assumed the possibility of moving the special school to existing secondary schools simply proved unviable or disadvantageous for reasons other than financial ones; for example, they did not allow the special school to develop at those locations. Adapting the existing buildings would, in several cases, essentially cost as much as constructing a new school.
