We kindly inform you that there was no fire at Kliczków Castle. The report was filed by an employee of Kliczków Castle, who noticed a flame on the chimney. The fire was caused by a spark entering the chimney. The entire situation was not dangerous. Such incidents often occur when cleaning grates in stoves. Firefighters inspected the rooms and the roof and found no fire hazard.
Firefighters confirm that soot in the chimney caught fire and that such things can happen even in freshly cleaned chimneys. They also confirm that the Castle was not in danger in this case because the chimney had a suitable sheet-metal liner.
