On Saturday, the TOP Bolesławiec third-league team played an away match against the league leaders, Bobry Jelenia Góra. The match began rather unexpectedly, with Bolesławiec taking a 4–1 lead. The next games were closely contested, and the score became just 8–7 for TOP. Mateusz Kowal and Marcin Marańda, as well as Marcin Wołowicki and Wojciech Kosal, entered the final games, which would decide the final result.

The matches were great spectacles. Both ended with our 3–1 victories in sets, while the entire match ended in a 10–7 victory for Bolesławiec. Mateusz Kowal deserves special recognition, as he was the only player to defeat all the competitors from Jelenia Góra. The points against Bobry were scored by: Mateusz Kowal 4, Norbert Stolicki 2, Marcin Wołowicki 3, Mirosław Jaślan 0.5, Tycjan Banaś 0.5. TOP Bolesławiec moved into first place in the third-league table and are now almost certain to secure promotion.

The Bolesławiec players travelled to Jelenia Góra determined to win, although they remembered their heavy 4–10 home defeat against the same team. After the two-week training camp held during the school holidays, where the players trained twice a day for two hours, a fight for every last point could be expected. That is exactly what happened, and our table tennis players secured a very valuable victory. TOP’s third-league team will play its next match in Bolesławiec against a team from Bartoszów.
