The President of the Republic of Poland—at the request of the Minister of National Defence—appointed Polish Armed Forces officers to general and admiral ranks. Among those appointed were also officers associated with the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade in Świętoszów.
As reported by the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade, four officers associated with the unit received general promotions. They include both people currently holding important command positions and former commanders and soldiers of the brigade.
Sławomir Lidwa, commander of the 11th Lubusz Armored Cavalry Division, was appointed to the rank of major general. Rafał Kowalik, former commander of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade, also received the rank of major general.
Renart Skrzypczak and Mirosław Płomiński, former soldiers of the 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade, received their first general rank.
The 10th Armored Cavalry Brigade congratulated all the promoted officers:
Generals, we warmly congratulate you! We wish you continued success in your service, satisfaction from taking on and completing further challenges, and every success.
Promotions to the highest military ranks are one of the important elements of personnel policy in the Polish Armed Forces. General and admiral appointments are made within the constitutional powers of the President of the Republic of Poland, who appoints officers to general and admiral ranks at the request of the Minister of National Defence.
The President of the Republic of Poland will present the appointment documents on Polish Army Day—15 August—during the parade.
