"On tak chciał" began operating at the start of 2001. Its initiator and supervisor was Father Jacek Saładucha, who wanted to create a group that could perform at the Religious Song Review in Polkowice. There, the band performed songs with lyrics by Norwid and Father Buryła, received a distinction and... suspended its activities.
A Visit to Rome
The group reunited in 2002. At that time, the band performed at a concert during the Days of Christian Culture. The breakthrough came with the recording of the album "Open the Doors to Christ", which was presented to the pope in November 2003 as a gift from the Bolesławiec community. The most important song on the album was "God's Warm Breath", dedicated to John Paul II on the 25th anniversary of his pontificate.
Individual Successes
The band's vocalist, Agnieszka Musiał, can boast a considerable achievement. From among many candidates, she was selected by the group Sistars and was able to sing with them at a concert at the Skarpa club in Warsaw. "It was an amazing experience," says Agnieszka. "The people who make up Sistars are wonderful musicians, and there is truly a lot one can learn from them. I hope the girls remember me."
Future Plans
The band is planning to release another album. "It will certainly be more mature than the previous one. It will no longer consist solely of acoustic songs," Agnieszka reveals.
