The caller informed the Lubin police dispatcher that she and a friend had found a wallet near entrance no. 70 on Mickiewicza Street in Lubin. The police officer sent a patrol from the prevention department to the scene.
At the indicated location, officers found two girls, aged 11 and 12. They told the officers that they had been going sledding and had found a wallet containing money along the way. They did not know who its owner might be, so they decided to hand it over to the police.
“The girls did not hesitate for a moment to hand over the wallet. They knew exactly what they should do, and such an attitude deserves praise and should be emulated,” emphasize the Lubin officers.
The wallet and its contents can be collected at the district officers’ headquarters in Lubin, at 10A Kilińskiego Street. If no one comes forward to claim it, it will be transferred to the lost property office.
