On December 25, 2015, the Lubin police duty officer was notified of an attack on a man. The officer dispatched prevention department officers to the scene. Based on the information collected about the perpetrators’ appearance and escape route, they detained two suspects.

As police officers established, two men approached the victim. They threatened him with what later turned out to be a plastic gun. They then knocked the man to the ground. They punched and kicked their victim all over his body. When the victim was no longer able to defend himself, they robbed him.

The perpetrators took a wallet and its contents, as well as a mobile phone. However, the robbers did not enjoy their loot for long. They were detained and taken into police custody. Officers from the prevention department recovered all the stolen items.

Fortunately, the Lubin resident did not suffer any serious injuries. After receiving medical assistance at the local hospital, he returned home.

The detainees are two residents of Lubin, aged 31 and 41. At the time of their detention, both had more than one per mille of alcohol in their systems. They will now stand trial for their actions. They face up to 12 years in prison.
