Teachers at Primary School No. 2 actively promote reading among young children, which is commendable and worth following. To mark Teddy Bear Day, they prepared another large and very interesting meeting centered on books about various bears.

For the celebration, all the students were dressed according to the color code assigned to their classes, and they wore decorations made of paper in the shape of bear ears on their heads. The hall was decorated with posters featuring artwork, slogans and, of course, the heroes of the day: teddy bears.

Vice Mayor Kornel Filipowicz, municipal library director Halina Majewska, CIK ,,Orzeł” manager Jacek Dudyński, Municipal Police commander Kamila Chalewicz-Pudłowska and MZS No. 3 director Irena Sikora-Kołodyńska were invited to the celebration. All the guests read about the adventures of Teddy Floppy-Ear from a book by Czesław Janczarski. The children listened attentively, answered questions, worked in groups on a worksheet about the characters they had met, went for a walk with the bear as part of a sports competition, recited Jan Brzechwa’s poem about a bear and played along to the song ,,Jadą misie”. The event ended with thank-you gifts being presented to the guests and sweet surprises for the children. Thanks to the director of the Municipal Public Library, our library received three wonderful books about Matilda’s adventures, which the children will be happy to listen to during class book meetings.
