The New Year's Concert took place at the Old Theater. The large audience that attended again this year demonstrated the popularity of this annual event. Students from the first- and second-level music schools performed on the theater stage, both solo and in groups.

The Kamerton choir, conducted by A. Samostrokow, also performed, as did the Big Band. The people gathered in the audience at the Old Theater rewarded the performances with loud applause.
