Invited guests (Deputy Mayor Kornel Filipowicz, Municipal Public Library Director Halina Majewska, Municipal Guard Commander Kamila Chalewicz-Pudłowska, CIK “Orzeł” Manager Jacek Dudyński, and MZS No. 3 Director Irena Sikora-Kołodyńska) read stories to the children about Teddy Bear Uszatek and his friends from a book by Czesław Janczarski.

The students, among other activities, answered questions about the texts, recited Jan Brzechwa’s poem “The Bear,” and played along to the song “The Bears Are Riding.” The first-graders also collected “honey points.”

The event was prepared by: Monika Grzyb, Małgorzata Oleś, Elżbieta Grzyb, and Teresa Góra.

At Primary School No. 3, students from grades 1–3 celebrated Teddy Bear Day for the tenth time. It has already become a school tradition, eagerly embraced by all the children with substantial involvement from their parents. The students had earlier prepared posters, artwork, and displays that other classes could visit, as well as cards for the teddy bear…

The day concluded with a “bear-themed party,” during which the students presented their costumes, recited poems about bears, and read their cards aloud. Each class received awards for its work and the effort put into preparing the celebration. The event was organized by early-primary education teachers.

Primary School No. 4, meanwhile, celebrated Stuffed Teddy Bear Day on November 25. For the occasion, sixth-grade girls from class 6 c prepared reading lessons for younger students from the second grades, encouraging them to reach for books for the youngest readers. The children enthusiastically welcomed the older students from class 6 c to their lessons; they arrived accompanied by colorful stuffed animals. After the most interesting adventures of Teddy Bear Uszatek had been read aloud, the young bear enthusiasts answered quiz questions about the stories they had heard, thereby improving their reading and listening comprehension skills. It is worth noting that Primary School No. 4 received the certificate “The School Library of Primary School No. 4 Promotes Reading.”

Children at Municipal Public Kindergarten No. 6 also celebrated Teddy Bear Day. The kindergarten held games, contests, and activities featuring teddy bears. On November 25, every child brought their favorite teddy bear to kindergarten.
