On Friday, weather permitting, they will dismantle the footbridge over the Łomniczka, which will mean closing the section of the red trail from the PTTK Nad Łomniczką Mountain Hut to Dom Śląski for the winter.
The trail through the Łomniczka Cirque is closed for the winter because of the risk of avalanches and ice. It will be the first trail closed this winter season in Karkonosze National Park. If heavier snowfall and avalanche danger occur, further trails will be closed, as they are every year.
The following trails will be closed during the winter:
- The Jubilee Road to Śnieżka (blue signs), from Dom Śląski to the point where the trail descends toward Kowarski Grzbiet
- from the Nad Łomniczką Mountain Hut, through the Łomniczka Cirque, to Dom Śląski (red signs)
- through the Biały Jar nivation niche (yellow signs) – during this time, a winter trail is marked from the upper station of the lift on Kopa to Strzecha Akademicka
- from Domek Myśliwski to Samotnia (blue signs)
- from the Pod Łabskim Szczytem Mountain Hut above Śnieżne Kotły (yellow signs) – a winter route marked with poles from the hut to the red border trail is in effect
- from the Pod Łabskim Szczytem Mountain Hut through Śnieżne Kotły to Rozdroże Pod Wielkim Szyszakiem (green signs).
