On November 20, at night, police officers from Bogatynia patrolling the town noticed two men carrying paint cans. The officers established the men’s identities; they turned out to be two residents of Bogatynia, aged 19 and 25.
The police determined that shortly beforehand, the men had broken a window at a hardware store, entered the premises and taken paint cans worth several hundred złoty.
The officers recovered all the stolen items, which were returned to their owners. The detained men were taken into police custody.
Moreover, it turned out that the older of the detainees had broken into the same store several days earlier. On that occasion, he stole building materials.
Both men from Bogatynia now face up to 10 years in prison.
