The roads have become dangerously slippery. Light snow fell during the day, and in the evening the temperature dropped to 0 degrees, with ice appearing on the roads. It was difficult to see any gritting trucks. There were several collisions in the town. After 5:30 p.m., on road 297 beyond Bolesławiec in the direction of Lwówek, a car rolled over. Because the road was slippery. The gritting truck arrived there about two hours later.

When we called the County Roads Authority (ZDP) in Bolesławiec after 7:00 p.m., no one answered. Only an automated message came on, which disconnected the call.

We ironically congratulate Roman Palczewski, head of the ZDP, on his usual swift response. All we can do is hope that county executive Dariusz Kwaśniewski and the other County councillors will address the issue of road maintenance at the next session.
