The aim of World Entrepreneurship Week is to create a social environment that actively supports entrepreneurial attitudes and initiatives among young people. As part of World Entrepreneurship Week, the Youth Entrepreneurship Foundation invites students, teachers and entrepreneurs to participate in the Open Company programme. For a business, this is a great opportunity for promotion and establishing new contacts in the local community, while the school gains the opportunity to enrich its educational offering with interesting activities preparing students to plan their educational path. To date, 463,858 students have participated in all editions of the programme. In the most recent edition alone, 63,041 students, 440 schools and 1,701 companies and institutions took part.

In connection with this event, the District Office in Zgorzelec was visited by young people from Zgorzelec Middle School No. 2. The guests were told about promoting employment in local government, as well as the tasks and organisational units of the district, by the secretary, Bogusław Białoń. The meeting concluded with a joint tour of the district office buildings.
