The main item on the agenda was the adoption of the city budget for 2007. Before the budget resolution was put to a vote, a dispute arose between Mayor Piotr Roman and Cezariusz Rudyk, a councillor from Platforma Obywatelska. The opposition representative announced that Platforma councillors would abstain from voting on the budget, while also criticising its assumptions.
Piotr Roman rejected the criticism, explaining that opposition councillors had had the opportunity to work on the draft budget earlier but had not submitted any amendments. Cezariusz Rudyk disagreed with this statement, arguing that there had been too little time to propose amendments to the budget. Ultimately, the budget was adopted with 13 votes in favour and 7 abstentions. Revenue in next year's budget is expected to reach nearly PLN 125 million, while expenditure is expected to exceed PLN 145 million.
In addition to the budget resolution, councillors also decided to take out a bank loan to rebuild Primary School No. 2 and adapt it to the needs of people with disabilities. They also decided to take out a loan for the extension and thermal modernisation of Municipal Gymnasium No. 2. The councillors also adopted resolutions concerning the Health Programmes of the Bolesławiec Urban Municipality and the Statute of the City of Bolesławiec.
