During an inspection of Lasek Złotoryjski on Ceglana Street, a specialist-intervention patrol of the Municipal Police discovered a large number of plastic bags containing green waste, mainly leaves. One of the bags also contained municipal waste bearing markings identifying one of the hotels in Legnica. Photographic documentation was made at the scene. The hotel owner confirmed that the rubbish came from his property. He also identified the person responsible for illegally dumping the waste, who was fined. The rubbish was removed immediately.
Municipal officials remind residents that disposing of waste in breach of regulations constitutes an offence and is punishable by a fine of up to PLN 5,000. They add: “We appeal for any information about illegal waste dumps to be reported to the Municipal Police emergency number 986 or 76 723 31 85.”
