The Strauss Gala is a brilliantly directed, charming performance featuring beautiful costumes from the nostalgic era of the famous Franz Joseph. It is a musical journey to the land of the waltz—a world full of hustle and bustle, swirling dresses, beautiful women and flirting officers.
The competition has been decided. The ticket was won by Andrzej Calów.
Tickets can be reserved on the website of the Forum cinema in Bolesławiec. Tickets priced at PLN 110 and PLN 90 are available at the Forum cinema box office.
The Strauss Festival Orchestra, conducted by Stephen Ellery, will perform the most famous compositions by the Strauss family. The concert programme will include wonderful waltzes, entertaining polkas and the most popular excerpts from the operettas Die Fledermaus, The Gypsy Baron, Vienna Blood and A Night in Venice. Of course, the famous waltz On the Beautiful Blue Danube and the Radetzky March will also be performed.
Stylish choreography performed by the ballet and wonderful soloists will certainly make this performance an unforgettable experience. This one-of-a-kind concert has already delighted thousands of viewers in Poland and abroad. It has been presented in concert halls and opera houses in many European cities, including Berlin, Zurich, Oslo, Copenhagen and Brussels. The Strauss Festival Orchestra, performing abroad under the name European Strauss Orchestra, has regularly toured China at the turn of the year for six years, where its concerts have already been seen by several hundred thousand viewers.
