The 12-month calendar and a slip requesting 20, 30, 50, 100 or more zlotys came with a long letter signed by Sławomir Olejniczak, president of the Piotr Skarga Institute.
What does Olejniczak write in the letter? He asks people to send money. He needs PLN 3,040,000. He wants to print and send calendars to more than one million Polish families and awaken their Catholic consciences because, as he writes:
“...an official publication issued by the Islamic State stated that it wants to destroy Europe through acts of terror and by introducing demographic and religious chaos.”
What, according to Olejniczak, can stop the Islamists? Awakening Poles from their spiritual coma. How can this be done? By quickly sending a donation for the calendar that Olejniczak’s institute will distribute to Polish families, because:
“when we look at the image of the Mother of God, we feel safe”
The question is: who will protect Polish families’ wallets from Olejniczak and saviours like him?
