The tender for the purchase and installation of 500 bins was won by Legnickie Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Komunalnej, with a bid amounting to just over PLN 974,000. This municipal company will install four types of bins with capacities of 125 litres (50 units), 95 litres (50 units), 72 litres (100 units) and 35 litres (300 units).

Installing an additional five hundred bins around the city meets residents’ expectations. Legnica residents themselves indicated where such containers should be installed. For example, during a recent meeting with the mayor, Legnica taxi drivers pointed out that they were needed around the railway station. Six additional 95-litre bins will be installed there.

The purchased rubbish bins are made of durable materials—cast iron and steel. As we pass by, let us put small items of litter into them, such as food packaging. This will help make our surroundings increasingly clean.
