Police officers from the Economic Crime Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra arrested a 21-year-old resident of Kowary at one of the banks in Jelenia Góra. He is suspected of fraud.

The police determined that, in order to obtain the loan, the man submitted falsified certificates of employment and earnings to the bank. The fraudster had applied for a PLN 30,000 loan. It turned out that the document he used was false, as the company listed on it does not exist at all.

The police are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case in detail and determining who issued the certificate used by the man.

The resident of Kowary could face up to 8 years in prison for attempting to defraud the bank of the loan.
