This exceptional concert, with the active participation of the audience, will be held as part of the celebrations of the Regaining of Independence, jointly organized by Zgorzelec County and the Zgorzelec Municipal Commune. The idea behind the concert is joyful celebration with song on our lips.
The singing will be led by the Choir of the State Music School of First and Second Degree under the direction of Małgorzata Duda. Soloists will also perform, playing various instruments (piano, violin, trumpet, French horn and accordion).
The patriotic mood will be introduced by Fryderyk Chopin’s “Revolutionary Étude,” performed by Emil Smardzewski. In addition, artistic interpretations of patriotic songs will be presented by a female trio: Marzena Kamińska, Anna Szuszek and Adrianna Wołowicz.
The organizers invite all residents of the town, commune and Zgorzelec County to attend the concert, and above all to sing together. Songbooks with the lyrics will be available on site. Admission is free!
