The arrested men entered apartments after forcing the lock cylinders in the doors. Their loot included power tools, money, household appliances, jewelry and other valuable items that could then be quickly sold.
The burglars were placed in police custody. They are residents of Legnica, aged 30 and 31. Both had been convicted in the past. One of them is a repeat offender and had already been convicted of burglary; the other man had been convicted of different offenses. Moreover, one of them was wanted—he has a one-year prison sentence to serve.
Police recovered some of the stolen property, including power tools and gold items. The items were found in the apartment of one of the arrested men and in pawnshops. The recovered property is worth several thousand zlotys.
The burglars face up to 10 years in prison.
