Rodent control must be carried out using rodenticide generally available for sale, in accordance with the instructions for use provided with the purchased product.
The places where the poison is laid out must be secured against access by other people, especially children and domestic animals, and the poison must also be protected from birds and marked with a warning, such as “CAUTION: POISON”.
In addition, courtyards, rubbish bins, cellars and attics must be cleared of waste and rubbish, food products and animal feed must be secured so that they are inaccessible to rats, and these rodents must be prevented from accessing water.
To increase the effectiveness of deratization measures, a deratization campaign will be carried out in urban areas from 3 to 8 November 2015, including wells, ditches, channels and the stormwater sewage network.
The deratization campaign in urban areas will be carried out by the “Sypień” Service Company from Gola, which will begin the treatment in the Zalesie and Przylesie housing estates, together with the adjacent areas. The treatment will then be carried out in the housing estates in the city centre and in Małomice, moving towards the Polne and Ustronie housing estates, including housing estate “D” and the areas of Zagłębie Lubin’s sports facilities.
Attention!
People carrying out sanitary installation renovation or construction work on their properties are asked to secure the inlet openings.
If a person consumes or is poisoned by the laid-out rodenticide, they must immediately report to a doctor and inform them of the situation. In case of any other concerns, the nearest toxicology centre is located in Wrocław, tel. 71 343 30 08.
