Bolesławiec art symposiums exist thanks to the cooperation and support of ceramic factories, where artists use workshops and materials. This year, studios were made available to the artists by Ceramika Artystyczna, Klinkiernia Ołdrzychów, Fabryka Naczyń Kamionkowych Manufaktura and Zakłady Ceramiczne "Bolesławiec".

Among the twenty-two participants in the symposium, three are from Bolesławiec: Bronisław Wolanin, winner of many ceramic exhibitions and competitions; Krystyna Gay-Kutschenreiter, former commissioner and creator of international symposiums; and Janina Jadwiga Sarzyńska, a student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań.

The exhibition opening was accompanied by a jazz concert at the Pegaz club. Saxophonist Mikołaj Trzaska performed with accompanying musicians from Denmark, Peter Ole Jorgensen (drums) and Peter Friis Nielsen (bass guitar).

The International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium is organised by the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre. The project "Art Beyond Borders – International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium in Bolesławiec" was co-financed by the European Union under the Small Projects Fund of INTERREG III A Euroregion Nysa Poland-Czech Republic.
