The reconstruction covers a 2.13 km section, from the intersection of Kościuszki Street and Góralska Street to the turn towards the social housing estate – a side road off Kościuszki Street. The construction of the transport route is intended to improve the safety of users of provincial road no. 297.
The scope of the project includes, among other things, reconstructing the existing shoulder on the left-hand side (on the right-hand side at the beginning of the section) into a paved shoulder with an asphalt surface. The project also includes reconstructing the existing pavements. Two bus bays have also been designed at the locations of the existing stops, as well as pedestrian crossings. The pedestrian crossings will be illuminated by autonomous (solar-powered) street lamps – two for each crossing. One lamp has been planned to illuminate the area of the stops at each bus bay.
The project is being carried out by the Dolnośląska Służba Dróg i Kolei we Wrocławiu, and the contractor is Budagro from Pieńsk. PLN 430,500 has been allocated in the Bolesławiec city budget for the construction. To this end, an agreement on providing financial assistance from the Municipality of Bolesławiec to the Lower Silesian Voivodeship was concluded in July 2014.
