Marcin Daniec’s performance was a top-level cabaret and musical show. It was based on the comedian’s monologues, in which he commented on social and political issues in various guises. The comedian knows Bolesławiec well and has performed here many times. His last performance took place five years ago, a fact he said he had carefully calculated. From the very first minutes of the performance, Marcin Daniec established a brilliant rapport with the audience, which constantly rewarded the comedian’s exceptionally accurate comments and observations with thunderous applause.
The programme consisted of three parts, interspersed with musical performances. The first was devoted to the political scene and the upcoming elections. In the second, the satirist addressed the subject of the media, especially entertainment television productions featuring jury formats such as “Dancing with the Stars,” “How Do They Sing?” and “Got Talent,” as well as culinary and dating shows, among others. The comedian’s final persona was a highlander, offering his perspective on general topics drawn from the reality around us.
A lovely moment of the evening for us was the performance on stage of a song by Tomek Wachnowski, who was present in the audience. The satirist was accompanied by singers Anna Piechurska and Paweł Ekert, winners of the “Szansa na sukces” programme.
