Police officers tracked down a man who forged employment certificates, which he used to make installment purchases. The latest purchase was foiled by officers. When the man and a woman came to a store where they wanted to buy a laptop, they were detained.

The man had a stamp belonging to one of the companies operating in Lubin. He used it to forge employment certificates. Officers are now determining how many stores and banks may have been defrauded in this way. The detained man probably also issued fictitious certificates to other people, including... homeless people.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances of the case. The 41-year-old woman and the 31-year-old man face up to 8 years in prison.
