Wiesław Ogrodnik’s letter to the residents of Bolesławiec
I am a resident of Bolesławiec, as well as a happy husband, father and, recently, grandfather. My professional life has been mainly connected with Bolesławiec. For over a dozen years, I worked at “Polfa”.
I was President of the Bolesławiec District Heating Company, which underwent a thorough modernisation under my leadership. I had the honour of serving as deputy mayor of our beautiful city. I am currently employed at SRG Global in Bolesławiec.
I am standing for election to the Sejm of the Republic of Poland from the Law and Justice list. In this connection, I dare to address these words to you and ask for your support.
I am addressing in particular the residents of Bolesławiec County, which is closest to my heart. Based on an analysis of the 2011 election results and the current trend in support for political parties, I believe there is an opportunity for Bolesławiec to have its own member of parliament after more than twenty years. Please allow me to explain why in a few words.
In 2011, PiS candidates received 7,125 votes in Bolesławiec County. To become a member of parliament, a candidate needed only 6,801 votes. The conclusion is obvious — if all voters from Bolesławiec County who supported PiS had voted for one of the candidates from Bolesławiec, we would have had a member of parliament in 2011. However, this was not possible because two people from our county were standing for election, resulting in the votes being divided.
The situation is quite different now. I am the only PiS candidate from Bolesławiec, and therefore I believe the chance of winning a parliamentary seat is enormous. I am not discouraged by the fact that I am standing in 15th place on the list, and please — do not let this discourage you either. Four years ago, the PiS candidate from Głogów was 12th on the list and became a member of parliament because the residents showed incredible mobilisation and massively supported “their” person, someone from their community who understood their problems.
I am addressing those of you who have always supported Law and Justice, and those who intend to do so this year. Please support me, the candidate from Bolesławiec.
I am also addressing those of you who are not necessarily supporters of Law and Justice. If you know me, if you have heard that I am simply a decent person, then please set aside your party preferences. Please support the person.
I am counting greatly on your sense of local patriotism. Believe me — there is a great opportunity that must not be wasted for Bolesławiec County to have its own member of parliament. I believe!Financed from the funds of the Law and Justice Election Committee
