“Blind Date for Two Couples” is a funny, romantic comedy that enjoys great popularity and has been performed on stages across Poland for two years. With plenty of humor, but also a considerable dose of reflection, the play tells the story of the need for affection, loneliness and people over forty trying to find a life partner. The protagonists—two female friends and two male friends—must face an avalanche of events set in motion by posting an advertisement on a dating website. The play’s major strengths are both the actors, who create excellent and highly convincing performances, and the rapid plot twists and laugh-inducing dialogue. In Bolesławiec, the roles were played by Jacek Kawalec, Olga Borys, Małgorzata Potocka and Maciej Robakiewicz.

The audience’s lively reaction, bursts of laughter and rounds of applause after each brilliantly performed scene showed that everyone had a wonderful time at the performance.
