An hour and a half after the polling stations closed, the results of the mayoral election were already known. Piotr Roman won, receiving 67.28% (7,773) of the votes. His rival, Karol Stasik, received 32.72% (3,780) of the votes. In the first round, the candidates received 7,318 and 2,895 votes, respectively. Voter turnout in the second round was approximately 34%.
On Monday, sessions of the City Council and County Council will be held, during which the new councillors will be sworn in. On Monday, we will also learn who will be elected starosta of Bolesławiec County.
