For 10 days, Boleslawiec.org readers voted for their candidates running for the office of Mayor of Bolesławiec. The poll received 1,159 votes. From the beginning of the poll, there was no clear favorite. Piotr Roman and Karol Stasik took the lead alternately, by several percentage points. One hour before the election silence began, Karol Stasik gained a slight advantage. The voting result—48% of the votes for Karol Stasik and 45% for Piotr Roman—means that among Internet users, the Civic Platform candidate enjoys slightly greater support. According to the online poll, 7% of participating Internet users will not take part in the election.
The online poll does not reflect the electoral preferences of all Bolesławiec residents eligible to vote. Therefore, drawing conclusions about the actual result on its basis is pointless. The online poll shows the level of support enjoyed by the mayoral candidates among people who use the Internet. Voters will decide who becomes Mayor of Bolesławiec on Sunday.
