On Saturday, a qualifying tournament for the Lower Silesian Youth Volleyball Championship was held in the sports hall on Komuny Paryskiej Street. TOP Bolesławiec volleyball players faced Ikar Legnica. Adrian Graczyk’s charges began the competition somewhat nervously. The very first balls, hit accurately and powerfully by Ikar’s players, frightened the home side. At 5:8, coach Graczyk called a timeout and calmed the game down somewhat. Cheered on by their supporters, the Bolesławiec players levelled the score at 14:14, but the Legnica players repeatedly caught Frączek and Sądaj’s attackers on the block. The set ended in a 17:25 defeat for Bolesławiec.

TOP began the second set just as uncertainly as the first. After a few minutes of play, it was clear that the home side did not have the strength to stand up to Ikar’s players. Bolesławiec lost the second set 8:25.

After a half-hour break, the return match began. The Legnica players also dominated this match. In the first set, Ikar showed where the opponent belonged, winning 25:9. In the second set, which concluded the tournament, the Legnica coach allowed the substitutes to play. The Legnica players won 25:22.

TOP Bolesławiec played with: A. Folga, J. Troszczyński, K. Frączek, S. Sądaj, R. Turczyński, M. Sobczak, K. Kulesza. A. Graczyk is the coach of TOP Bolesławiec’s youth players.
